Great dining experience here, came for dinner on a Thursday evening, live music was playing and the ambience is dimly lit but charming. -Side note the music is a little loud even though we sat on the opposite side of the stage. I got the smoked duck, it was cooked perfectly and had an amazing sweet glaze! The Ponchatoula salad was very tasty and unique! Good prices on the food. Service was great
We easily made reservations for 11am Sunday brunch! We were amazed at the beauty of the restaurant when we arrived. There is a gorgeous bar front and center with an amazing bourbon and whiskey collection. The wrought iron spiral staircase is spectacular in the center of the building that takes you to a second story. Many groups posed on the stairwell before leaving. Our waitress was very gracious and kept the bottomless sangria flowing. The sangria was delicious! We had the fig flatbread which was out of this world! We split the fried green tomatoes crab cake eggs Benedict. It was stupendous. We then finished off brunch with the crab claws. For dessert we moved over to the couches to listen to the super talented Zeringues, husband and wife team who delighted us with one great song after the other. Sasha's voice is amazing! Glenn's guitar playing is magical. We even got up and danced a few times. The espresso martini was the best we have ever had. We were amazed that we were there for over 3 hours. We had a fantastic time and highly recommend this restaurant!
My sister & I made a visit last Saturday evening & it was well worth it! We had some drinks at the bar & shared the seafood tartar appetizer. The quartet band really enhanced the atmosphere. What really made the evening though were the friendly & funny conversations with the bartenders, Kenai & Tyler. They were great! The general manager also allowed us to tour the adorable private bar at the top of the spiral staircase. All around a really fun evening. We will be back! PS-I just noticed my sister's animated review below mine. She has a Masters degree in Journalism, so please excuse my humble language 🤣♥️
Atmosphere is wonderful, very dark and moody. Abi Claire was wonderful to listen to live. I would go back for the atmosphere and drinks but not so much for the food. The Old Fashioned was delicious and the bartender was very nice and attentive. The crab cakes were dry, chewy, bland and had a lot of raw onions mixed in. The jazzy shrimp was nothing to write home about, a little over cooked and crunchy. And the jacked up flat bread was good but way too much pepper jelly, I had to scrape a lot of it off with a knife. Would order again and ask for pepper jelly on the side for dipping. Overall, not a bad experience just not what I was expecting.
As for this place service and atmosphere was 100% on point. Food menu was deceptive. We ordered the spicy garlic colossal crabs claws for a starter flavor was on point but there was nothing colossal about them very very small disappointment. My wife had the fig and garlic flatbread which she absolutely loved. I had the seared scallops at most it was a 30 count scallop and it was only four on the plate normally when you advertise jumbo it's a U-10 scallop but they tasted great just deceptive once again. My wife had the whiskey chicken she said it tasted great just wished the skin was a little more crispy. As for the drinks absolutely fantastic drinks. The band that was playing definitely set off a great tone and just brought the place to life with great soulfull music
