According to the menu and online reviews the place is over 100 years old. It is a nice neighborhood bar. As some reviewers have said service could be more enthusiastic but that doesn't mean they aren't friendly. It would be nice to have a sign at the front saying please seat yourself. It seemed like a family owned kinda place to me. As for food I tried their Greek burger and I thought it was just average but not bad. The best thing truly is the pretzel bread with cheese. The pretzels are long and breaded unlike typical "bites" which tend to dry out and get chewy. These came out hot and could be picked apart like monkey bread and the inside was soft and delicious. I'd get those and a beer for snack sometime as it is worth it. I also like the glasses with the name of the place on it. It is old fashioned and classy.
I went to Harry's place on a recommendation from a review from James Kane 9 years ago. He was raving about it and 9 years later it is still true. I got fish & chips and green beans. Delicious!
My wife and I decided to place a pickup order for their Cod Fish Fry, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. When I arrived, the gentleman who assisted me was extremely friendly and attentive. He made sure everything was packed perfectly sauces, extras, and all and even walked the food out to me on the floor. The food itself was fantastic. Both the fish and fries were hot, crispy, and clearly fresh out of the fryer. We’ll definitely be back!
Very cool pub! Great service, cold beers with a wide variety of domestic and craft, and delicious pub food. The crab bites were unique and the perfect afternoon snack! This place has been in the same family for 99 years and they really do make you feel at home, even if your first time in. Will be back when I'm in the area, and would be there a lot more if I lived nearby!!
Quaint spot with a great atmosphere. The menu had good variety, and the food was delicious. The staff is extremely friendly, and helpful.
