1st time eating at M-Bar for lunch but was pleasantly surprised! I had the pantrout. Meal was a sizable portion that came with 1 side (fried okra, French fries or broccoli) and 2 pieces of white bread. Definitely enough to have you sluggish going back to work! Tiara was an awsome server and Rika kept us well hydrated! Definitely will be back!
Visited here for the 1st time. I enjoyed the atmosphere, food, and service. Our server, Tameka (spell check), was great! We started with drinks & food (the Buffalo chicken, tex-mex rolls, fried okra) was fire!!! We were in the common area for a little bit, then went into another room (cigar/smoke). It was nice. And Ms. Tameka still checked on us when we went into the other room. I'm from Ohio, and you don't always find that type of service. I definitely suggest this place for Happy Hour for sure! Next time, we visit Jackson, MS, we will be coming back to this spot!
Came in town for my sister’s wedding and they wanted to go here after the wedding. I live San Francisco, California the Bay Area, arguably the most expensive place to live in the US. I have NEVER paid $23 for a drink in the bay, but one drink at this place was $23!!!! Why?!! In addition to the ridiculous drink prices, we had to pay $20 to get into a bar? Why is there $20 cover charge to get into a restaurant/bar? Is this a Mississippi thing? Also, the security at the door. We were dressed in full wedding attire, the bride literally still had on her wedding dress and they made the bride and groom stand outside while the groom located his ID! Everyone in the wedding party was well over 30 and they made the bride and groom on their wedding night stand outside!!!! I will NEVER visit this place again and only stayed last night because my sister wanted to go in! Why are we begging to get into a place to spend our money? They spent hundreds of dollars in there! So tacky and distasteful!
Haven't been here in years but it is definitely an upgrade to inside. Has an open space connected to the patio (love this). I didn't have an food but friends did and they loved it.
Sunday Funday at MBar is a whole vibe. From service to song selection we partied the entire time. The manager on duty, Jamal was very professional and attentive to his guest. We had a reserved section and the staff made us feel welcomed and was very accommodating. We arrived at noon and left around 3:30PM feeling incredible. Definitely order the Catfish, greens and the pitcher of mimosas.
