Seems like a lovely, inclusive dive bar. I tried going for karaoke, but it ends at 1 AM. Google indicates that closing time is at 2 AM. From speaking with people present, they close at 1 AM on karaoke nights - which are Thursdays and Sundays. So definitely don’t show up for karaoke at 1230AM. 😅 The bartender was super helpful and cleared up their hours for me: they are closed Monday and Tuesday; open until 1 AM on Wednesday and Thursday; open til 2 AM on Friday and Saturday.
Not to quote Toby Keith, but I love this bar. They have karaoke on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. It's a great little spot with a warm and welcoming community.
The bartender saw me and immediately said "There's a 4 dollar cover." Nobody else in my group said they got charged a cover. It was very bizarre. The vibes were off. I bought one drink and probably won't come back.
9 dollars for a a shot with a flys egg at the bottom is crazy. This was officially my last time giving yall a chance.
I'm traveling as a salesman. I was a bartender at a gaybar for 10 years. I have never met or dealt with someone as nasty as the female bartender tonight. There was cover for NOTHING and she was angry when we walked up. Highly recommend going to one of the many other places in Raleigh. Gay or straight.
