Went here for the first time for a late night meal on a Sunday. They have options for both omnivores and vegans. When we got there everyone was sitting at the bar and no one was in the dining room. We chose to eat at a high top in the bar area. As the night went on people came in and sat in the dining room. I ordered the vegan boudin balls and sweet corn succotash. My friend, who isn’t vegan, had the jambalaya and the surf and turf po boy. The boudin balls weren’t as flavorful as I would have hoped. The succotash on the other hand was delicious. I ate every last drop. It had so much flavor. When vegetables taste like that more people will eat them. My friend really enjoyed his food. The meat in the po boy was tender and the jambalaya had just the right amount of spice. I ordered the vegan bananas foster dessert to go. They packed it well with all the fixings in separate containers. I ended up not eating it until a couple days later so that may have played into the taste. It was just ok. I wouldn’t necessarily need to get it again. All in all this is a good spot to go late in the evening when you are looking for a decent meal.

Beautiful bar! The homemade charcuterie board was delicious. The cocktails were unique and delightful! The only thing that was disappointing was that the bartenders seemed distracted and couldn't wait to go home although it was still early. We were visiting from Hawaii and intentionally sat at the bar. They didn't attempt to engage in conversation with any of the customers on the bar.

It’s been quite awhile since I’ve been in the Kyber Pass pub. I’m thinking close to eight years. The last time I was in I was not vegan at the time and do remember having a amazing burger and we would frequent the Kyber a couple times a year, especially for their fried green tomatoes, which are always great. It was nice to see them offering as a monthly special the king oyster mushroom Poboy that’s what I decided to order along with a few other vegan items. The Poboy was very good. A nice size. The mushrooms were fried in seasoned very well. It had a nice pickled shallots, shredded carrots, tomato, and lettuce served on a good roll that had a spring P tofu spread on it. I think it could’ve used a little more spread, but with a couple shots of hot sauce that made it all a much better good sandwich. I also ordered the charred broccolini. This was nice and fresh however, I do think it needed to be charged a bit longer as the broccolini was not tender. Now I understand that you try to retain the overall texture and visual of the vegetable I get it. I was in the business for many years and I’m not sure when they serve this. Do they leave the stems attached? These were at the base and almost raw when I’ve used broccolini in the past and grilled or charted, I would always grill the base of the stem first which takes a little navigating because you don’t want the floret end of it to grill at the same time or else you’ll have an uneven grill and it didn’t taste like there was very much seasoning on this. The sauce was good just not enough, later on that evening, I tweaked it to where it was nice and tender little bit of seasoning, garlic, sea salt, and it was right where it needed to be, the mushroom toast was fantastic mushrooms done perfectly served on some fantastic crusty perfectly toasted bread, vegan basil, regatta, and herbs, which were spot on this was bursting with flavor. I also ordered Boudin balls, which were perfectly fried with a great little crust on the outside nice and tender on the inside now I’m not quite sure about the vegan sausage was supposed to have a fennel flavor to it because there wasn’t no fennel flavor to it regardless the mix on this inside was delicious and the sauce on the side which was made of cane syrup and Dijonnais was excellent. I also shared a bowl of spring pea and onion soup. This was good and the little garlic crust’s on the side were done right, the fried green tomatoes staple side item that I would stop for and travel to get because they are so good and always consistent. We ordered two orders. Needless to say we clean the plates of those our other friend ordered the jambalaya, which is also spot on and always done right and we also had an order of gumbo that was perfect. Kyber Pass pub is a place that we will always visit especially knowing they have vegan options now and I think they may have always had them. I just never took notice space it’s been quite a few years since we’ve been in here, but we will be in here more often nowour server was very good. She did get very busy and eventually she had someone else out helping her good experience overall good food.

Super cool and unique bar. They have a homemade bloody Mary mix. But the beer options are plenty and so unique. They have a cider with European apples, a peanut butter and jelly beer, and a fermented Washington cherry beer!

Plenty of vegan options. My favorite is the vegan chicken po'boy on the Leidenheimer roll. Fun drinks, including a non-alcoholic option for shark week :) I wish they would bring back the vegan sausage sandwich that they had a few years ago on the menu.
