Contemporary lounge hosting karaoke on weekends also serving American bar snacks & sandwiches.
Booked at the Lux for a football game and decided to eat at their restaurant. Big mistake HUGE. Service was nonexistent. Waitress was overwhelmed though the place was practically empty. We were asked to pay for our food at the table when we ordered which already included a 7% service charge and additional gratuity for the waitress. Should have known that was a sign everything would be terrible. Sat for at least 25 minutes before even getting my watered down lemonade ($4.25) and another 35 minutes before getting my chicken BLT/fries ($20.99) which I first noticed came with pickles??? Since when does a BLT, which was advertised as chicken, bacon, lettuce, and tomato, come with pickles? Moving along..two bites in and I almost threw up from eating raw chicken. I mean completely RAW. Took another 25 minutes for the waitress to even come back to the table for me to notify her and ask for a refund. A "manager" then came to the table and didn't even look at my food. It took ANOTHER 20 minutes for a receipt to be printed to show I was getting a refund. The receipt provided to me had barely any info. I asked for the original itemized receipt (remember I already paid and money was deducted from my bank account) which I was told was not available. The mall cop trigger happy security officer told me to leave the premises or he would arrest me...for asking for a receipt! Terrible experience. Terrible food. Terrible people. Terrible management.
The food was nothing to die for, they basically just served hamburger, wings, fries etc at $18. I little to expensive for just a basic burger and fries w/o a drink.. Eat before you come.. The drink mixes are Ok.. The bartender and waitress did an awesome job.
This place has a very nice atmosphere but there are some things that were eye raising to us. We went to a pool party and rented a cabana area. We paid in advance and had to pay an additional $15 per person for 11 people. There are no towels and you cannot get a cup of ice if requested at the bar. There is a lounge, but it was empty. The pool looks clean but there were some cloudy areas that made the pool look dirty. Would I go back, no...
Food- Horrible. Fried fish was not good.and way too expensive (23.00 for 3 small pieces and fries). Plus they will not give you a folk to eat with or napkin to wipe your hands. Apparently this no utensils policy is aimed at keeping the pool clean. There's got to be a better way than for everyone to walk around with greasy hands! Cranberry juice cost 7.00 with two cubes of ice and no straw. No ice nor sink water for free. DJ- Horrible. The 90's R&B music playing inside the bar was much better than the painfully repetitive slaw the DJ was serving. At several points nobody was dancing and the DJ didn't even bother to look up from his phone to see- his Playlist was not moving the crowd and perhaps he should mix it up a little to get the few people there to have a good time. Atmosphere- decent. With real food, cold drinks (napkins) and an engaged DJ this could be a very nice spot. Currently the whole situation is not living up to its potential. I will go back, hopefully there will be a different DJ but I will eat before I get there and keep cold water/other beverages in my car. I'm not paying 7 dollars for a sip of hot juice no more!
The drinks are well worth it but I wish I'd paid more attention to the reviews regarding the food. The fries tasted like fish and the chicken wasn't done. Eat before you come.
