Cocktails served in a contemporary gay club with pool tables & a dance floor, plus drag shows.
Had an amazing time celebrating at the New Year party and catching Suzie Toot a few weeks back—what a show! The atmosphere was incredible, and I’m really loving the fresh new vibe the new owners have brought in. The space is cute, clean, and full of fun energy. Always such a blast seeing our talented Pittsburgh Queens light up the stage—also so nice to see our amazing local queens getting the spotlight too! Can’t wait to see what you all have planned for Pride—keep it coming!
Foods okay. Drinks have gone down hill sadly. I loved coming here when it was vise versa and Chris was the bartender on Sundays loved it. I spent 40 to 50 every Sunday night I came out. Now I can't even justify a 5 dollar pitcher. I ordered a rum and coke pitcher and I could not taste the rum, which I can over look slightly, but I also couldn't taste the coke. It tasted like carbonated water. The espresso martini had good taste but yet again not as strong or as big as the ones vise made. I use to love this place and raved about it to everyone, but now I think I'll be looking for a new place till they get some new bartenders. My fiance also complained to me about barely being able to taste the vodka cranberry in her vodka cranberry stating it taste like a la croux that had gone flat. I tasted it and also didn't taste any vodka just water then a tiny back note of cranberry. All in all martinis and shots are great but I'm staying away from the pitchers if I do ever come back. Honestly sad to have to write this review, and I do sincerely hope the pitchers on Sunday improve.
My review is based on my experiences earlier in the year, but months after it reopened. I'm not including the entire explanation/reasoning behind my rating because at least LGBTQ people have somewhere to go that's oriented to us. I'm not trying to throw undeserved shade. Maybe things are better now. I’ll be going again soon and will update my review then. My hope and intent are to leave my past negative experiences that occurred here behind and write an overall positive review, and not keep it below average. LGBTQ people deserve a safe AND welcoming place to go out and be themselves.
Can’t recommend this place enough to anyone who is lgbt+ in the WV region. You forget you’re still in west Virginia. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the drag shows are always so entertaining. My boyfriend and I have been going when we can since the place opened and we love it!
Visited Babylon for the first time this weekend to see Kandy Muse. Also was made aware that it's called Babylon because of Lady Gaga's song and I happened to be wearing my "babble on" Babylon Lady Gaga shirt. Love the Gaga references throughout the place. Employees and Owners were very friendly. I would frequent this place if I lived closer.
